Spoon Bent Gouge 3.5 cm
Meet our Short Spoon Bent Gouge 3.5 cm, an indispensable tool if you want to create deep grooves and small cutouts in wood. It’s perfect for woodcarving handicrafts, including authentic kuksas (traditional wooden drinking cups originating from the Sami culture in northern Scandinavia) and spoons. Seasoned artisans report the tool is also efficient at creating textures on various surfaces of handmade projects.
The razor-sharp blade is made from high-quality forged 52100 steel, known for its outstanding strength and ability to hold a keen edge. The handle is from an ash tree and is additionally stained with linseed oil. Such a finish helps to preserve the tool in a splendid condition for a long time. Linseed oil soaks deeply into the wood fibers, strengthening the handle throughout, so it is hard to crack or deform it. The Spoon Bent Gouge is supplied with a specifically designed leather sheath of appropriate length and width to shield the sharp edge of the blade and minimize the risk of accidental injury during the tool’s transportation.
