Our Short Slick 2-in Timber Framing Chisel is a highly functional, dependable tool specifically designed for effectively paring long wood surfaces following the grain. The razor-sharp, straight blade is made from hand-forged high-carbon 52100 steel that boasts superior strength, impact resistance, and durability. Due to the steel's dense and sealed structure, the tool is perfect for high-load applications. After accurate and careful hardening, tempering, and annealing, the keen edge reaches 60 (HRC).
The framing chisel has a short handle made from a Ukrainian ash tree, famous for its lightweight and outstanding durability. The handle’s ergonomic shape ensures the tool is ideally balanced for optimal user comfort and contributes to a secure, firm grip. The smartly designed leather protective sheath efficiently maintains the chisel in top condition and eliminates the hazards its keen blade might cause during everyday storage and occasional transportation. Each of our tools is made by hand and takes time to produce. It usually takes 1-2 days to manufacture, but if you have a unique order we will need 7 to 45 days to produce (depending on the complexity of the order).
Shipping to the US and EU takes between 7 and 30 days, our experience is that the average is 14 days.
For customers in the United States, delivery typically takes 4 days, as the majority of our products (90%) are stored in our U.S. warehouses. For orders shipping to other countries, including those from our warehouses in Ukraine, Canada, and Australia, delivery usually takes about 2 weeks.
