Roundwood 2" Bent Gouge
Whether you are a beginner or a professional woodcarver, the Bent 2-in Timber Framing Round Gouge will help you splendidly cope with cleaning up rounded channels in visible outer areas of wood. The tool offers maximum performance and durability due to the well-thought-out design and perfectly balanced construction. The sturdy metal part is made from hand-forged 52100 steel, a high carbon chrome steel alloy known for its outstanding hardness and high wear resistance.
The ergonomic handle is made from a Ukrainian ash tree, a light wood type chosen for its remarkable strength and water resistance. As a bonus, the tool is suitable for use with a mallet due to the steel ring on top. This protective measure was applied to prevent the handle from splitting when you use a hammer or a mallet. A leather belt sheath that comes with the tool maintains it in the best condition for years so that you can pass the Roundwood 2-in Bent Gouge to your descendants.
Each of our tools is made by hand and takes time to produce. It usually takes 1-2 days to manufacture, but if you have a unique order we will need 7 to 45 days to produce (depending on the complexity of the order).
Shipping to the US and EU takes between 7 and 30 days, our experience is that the average is 14 days.
For customers in the United States, delivery typically takes 4 days, as the majority of our products (90%) are stored in our U.S. warehouses. For orders shipping to other countries, including those from our warehouses in Ukraine, Canada, and Australia, delivery usually takes about 2 weeks.
