Long 1" Timber Framing Chisel
Our straight Long 1-in Timber Framing Chisel is a robust, heavy-duty hand tool specifically designed for various carpentry and timber-framing tasks. The instrument particularly excels in removing large pieces of wood in one brief strike, making them perfect for shaping and notching timber beams and big wood amounts. Its thick, sturdy blade is made from hand-forged carbon 52100 steel with ideally balanced properties for the production of threaded, cutting tools. It’s remarkably high-strength and wear-resistant chromium-containing low-alloy steel, which preserves the keen edge for a long time.
You can efficiently use the chisel for cutting curved surfaces, chamfering, and leveling ends. The ergonomic handle is made from a light and durable ash tree, and it’s sufficiently long for you to adjust the blows of the hammer. The handle offers a secure, comfortable grip for the unmatched user experience. A well-fitted handmade leather blade guard ensures the tool retains its brilliant condition even after years of consistent and excessive use.
