The tool smoothly shapes wood with a carbon steel 52100 blade of exceptional hardness (HRC 60-61). The handles are carefully fitted on each blade’s side for perfect balance and utmost user comfort. Our craftsmen make handles from a Ukrainian ash tree, famous for its lightweight and impressive durability.

The handles have bolts, allowing you to change them by yourself if needed. However, the wooden handles are sturdy and reliable, so it would be challenging to crack or deform them. They are additionally covered with stain, mineral oil, and beeswax to safeguard the ash wood from humidity and prevent it from drying and cracking. With such caring measures, the tool owes to last long, and so it does. Our drawknives are aimed to be passed from generation to generation, and we add a robust handmade leather case to maintain the tool in the best condition for decades of frequent use.
