Black Axe-Froe
This Big Black Axe-Froe is a highly versatile tool providing outstanding functionality: it can serve as an ordinary froe and a hammer. Developing a smart design, our artisans drew inspiration from Japanese craftsmen. This resulted in a striking combination of a sturdy, polished blade from hand-forged, certified 52100 steel of superior hardness (HRC 56-57) and an exceptionally robust and light handle from a Ukrainian ash tree. The handle was further treated with high-quality Danish oil for a hard satin finish to create a barrier between wood and water and highlight the beautiful natural pattern of ashwood. The handcrafted protective leather case ensures the tool maintains its top quality and excellent condition for decades to come. If you are a passionate woodworker who wants to establish a new family tradition of passing unbreakable tools through generations, the Big Black Axe-Froe is a great instrument to start with.
