This Big Black Axe-Froe is a highly versatile tool providing outstanding functionality: it can serve as an ordinary froe and a hammer. Developing a smart design, our artisans drew inspiration from Japanese craftsmen. This resulted in a striking combination of a sturdy, polished blade from hand-forged, certified 52100 steel of superior hardness (HRC 56-57) and an exceptionally robust and light handle from a Ukrainian ash tree. The handle was further treated with high-quality Danish oil for a hard satin finish to create a barrier between wood and water and highlight the beautiful natural pattern of ashwood.
